All of the photos from the event are now available online! The race photographer has photos available for purchase that were taken on the race course at http://www.finishshots.com/raceinfo1.php?raceid=542. We also hired an event photographer that took photos from the race course and the festival area, those photos are available for viewing and print purchase at http://tramrun.shutterfly.com.
Several people have inquired into the photos that were taken at the event. We are still waiting for the photographers to process the photos and expect to get them in a week or two. When we get the photos we will upload them to the web and make them available for download for free. Please check back to this site in a week or two, we will post the link to the pictures as soon as it is available.

UPDATE (6/25/08): The event photos are available now at http://tramrun.shutterfly.com. Thank you for your patience! I will also post a new post about this to make sure everyone sees the update.
Thank you to everyone who participated in today’s event! You can view the results from the race by clicking here: http://www.racecenter.com/results/2008/tr5k08.htm.
There will be parking available in the underground lot of the Center for Health & Healing for $3 for the day. The entrance to the lot is located on Whitaker. From I-5 North or Macadam turn right on Curry, left on Bond, left on Whitaker and left into the garage. From downtown take River Parkway to Moody Ave, turn left on Curry, left on Bond, left on Whitaker and left into the garage. There will be directional signage to the event.
We have been receiving a lot of questions about whether or not strollers are allowed in the race and if they need to register.
The deal with strollers is this: we want this event to be as family friendly as possible and welcome strollers to participate. We tried very hard to find a course that involved no stairs but unfortunately this is not possible. The best scenario we could come up with is two courses: one with stairs that is timed and one that is untimed and requires waiting at crosswalks but has not stairs. I will be posting both maps with more information on a new page titled “course information” in a few minutes.
This means that participants with strollers have two options:
a) take the timed course and carry your stroller down the stairs into the pedestrian tunnel and then back up the stairs at the other end of the tunnel; or
b) take the non-timed course that does not have stairs but is not timed because it requires participants to possibly stop and wait for crosswalks in a few locations.
The second course that has no stairs would not work as the timed primary course because we could not get clearance to close some of the roads it crosses. That is why the pedestrian tunnel that has stairs was used in the first place - to get around busy roads we couldn’t close.
We apologize for the inconvenience. For those of you that participated last year, the primary timed course is the same course as last year.

Oregon Health & Science University is proud to present the OHSU Tram Run & Walk for its second year. This year’s event promises to be bigger and better than last year’s race. Participants who finish the race will find the OHSU Health Fair (outside this year), community vendors, live music and family entertainment.
The festival has moved to the South Waterfront Neighborhood Park south of the tram terminal and OHSU’s Center for Health & Healing. The race will finish in the park as well.
Please regularly check this blog for updates on the race, the festival and training suggestions and a whole lot more! You can also learn more about the event and register by clicking the links at the top of the page. We look forward to seeing everyone on June 1 for the OHSU Tram Run & Walk, it should be lots of fun!
